January 12, 2012 - The page titled "Mary Wells Bio on Way" was updated to announce that this new book, the first biography of Mary "My Guy" Wells ever to be published, will be released in November, 2012.

 

August 4, 2011 - A new page was posted under the title "New Movie Cast" announcing the new leading cast members for "Blondie: The Florence Ballard Story." "Blondie" is the movie based on the book The Lost Supreme.

 

May 5, 2010 - A new page announcing that Blogradio Star Stephanie Campbell had interviewed Author Peter Benjaminson about his previous books, which include an expose of the New York City Department of Investigation and the first book ever written about the Motown Record Company, and featuring a link to that interview on the page, was added to the site under the heading "Author Blogged Again."

 

May 4, 2010 - A new page containing the entire text of an article about Author Benjaminson by Deborah A. Miles that appeared in the April issue of Communicator Magazine, published by the Public Employees Federation (PEF), was added to the site under the heading "PEF Mag Praises Author."

 

March 28, 2010 - A new page announcing that Blogradio Star Stephanie Campbell had interviewed Author Peter Benjaminson about The Lost Supreme: The Life of Dreamgirl Florence Ballard, and featuring a link to that interview on the page, was added to the site, under the heading "Blogger Interviews Author."

 

November 21, 2009 - A new page announcing that the Flo Ballard bio that was originally broadcast on TV One in June will be rebroadcast the day after Thanksgiving was posted on the site under the title "Flo Bio Rebroadcast."

 

November 7, 2009 - The title of the previously added page "Dreamgirls Movie vs. Book," was changed to "Dreamgirls vs. Book" to take into account the continuing distortions of the real Florence Ballard story in the revival of the "Dreamgirls" musical scheduled to open at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem on Nov. 7.

 

September 16, 2009 - A new page announcing that Lost Supreme Author Peter Benjaminson would be speaking about the Lost Supreme and telling the real story behind Flo Ballard and the Dreamgirls movie and musical was added to the site under the title "Author to Speak in Harlem."  Mr. Benjaminson's speech took place at the Jackie Robinson Recreation Center at Bradhurst Ave. and W. 146th St. in Harlem at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, only two days before a new production of the Dreamgirls musical opened at Harlem's Apollo Theatre.

 

July 12, 2009 - A new page announcing that Lost Supreme Author Peter Benjaminson is working on the first-ever biography of Motown Superstar Mary Wells was posted under the title "Mary Wells Bio on Way".

 

July 12, 2009 - A new page announcing that Author Peter Benjaminson will be selling copies of The Lost Supreme at the Harlem Book Fair on West 135th St. and Malcolm X Blvd. on July 18 was posted under the title "Author to Visit Harlem".

 

June 29, 2009 - A new page containing links that allow visitors to the site to see the entire TV One one-hour bio of Flo Ballard, which was broadcast on Sunday, June 28 and Thursday, July 2, includes an interview with Author Peter Benjaminson, and uses segments of his exclusive audiotaped interview of Flo, was posted under the title of "See Flo TV1 Bio Here!"

 

June 2, 2009 - Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's comments correcting the record about Flo death were posted on a new page labeled "Congresswoman's New View."

 

May 16, 2009 - A dis of Flo by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, (D-Texas), who represents that state's 18th District, including Houston, claimed The Lost Supreme died of a drug overdose. This web site has asked the Congresswoman to correct the record as soon as possible. The Congresswoman's statement and the request for an apology was posted on a new page on the site labeled "Congresswoman Disses Flo." 

 

May 15, 2009 - A detailed announcement that on June 28 the second season of TV One's "Unsung" series will feature Florence Ballard, Author Peter Benjaminson, and Benjaminson's audio tapes of his interview with Flo the year before her death was posted on the site on a new page labeled "Flo's Story/TV One/June 28."

 

February 22, 2009 - A restructed page about Flo's tragic death on February 22, 1976 was posted on the site on a new page labeled "Flo Died Today."

 

January 28, 2009 - The Detroit Free Press video that was released today of Author Peter Benjaminson discussing The Lost Supreme at a Detroit-area Borders Bookstore, including many new photos of Flo, was posted on the site on a new page labeled "Freep Video Features Flo."

 

November 15, 2008 - Photos of Author Peter Benjaminson presenting huge blowups of the cover of The Lost Supreme to fascinated financiers in California were posted on a new page labeled "Author Visits LA".

 

November 9, 2008 - On a new page titled "London Paper Disses Flo," Author Peter Benjaminson protests a lengthy story in the London Observer that states that Diana Ross and the Supremes performed "Stop! In the Name of Love."  The Supremes recorded that song, with Flo Ballard proudly taking part.

 

November 8, 2008 - The newspaper A Touch of Classic Soul praised The Lost Supreme: The Life of Dreamgirl Florence Ballard and interviewed Author Peter Benjaminson.  The review and interview were added to the site on a page labeled "Classic Soul Praises Book."

 

October 29, 2008 - On a new page titled "Onion Disses Flo," Author Peter Benjaminson protests the front page story in the Onion newspaper dated October 30 that implies that Cindy Birdsong performed on the song "Stop! In the Name of Love" rather than Florence Ballard.

 

October 28, 2008 - Sincere condolences for Jennifer Hudson, who played Flo Ballard in the film "Dreamgirls," were posted on the site on a new page titled "We Share Jennifer's Grief," after the tragic news of the murder of three members of her family.

 

October 22, 2008 - A schedule of the author's and Flo Daughter Michelle Ballard's planned appearances and readings in the Detroit area during the week of December 8 was posted on the site on a new page labeled "Author to Visit Detroit."

 

October 2, 2008 - Justin Richards' article in The New York Press about Athena Kokoronis' "Flo" performance piece based on The Lost Supreme was posted on the site on a new page labeled "NYP Covers Flo Dance."

 

September 26, 2008 - An announcement of an enhanced performance of Athena Kokoronis' "Flo" performance art piece on Sunday, September 28 was posted on the site on a new page labeled "New Flo Dance Scheduled."  

 

September 15, 2008 - The announcement that Author Peter Benjaminson's appearance at the Brooklyn Book Festival was successful was posted on the site on a new page titled "Author Visits Brooklyn."

 

September 8, 2008 - The announcement that Author Peter Benjaminson will be meeting Ballard fans and autographing and selling his book at the Brooklyn Book Festival to be held Sunday, September 14, at Brooklyn Borough Hall & Plaza was posted on the site on a new page titled "Author to Visit Brooklyn."

 

July 14, 2008 - Village Voice Columnist Michael Musto's blog, in which he praises The Lost Supreme as "amazing" and "riveting," is added to the site on a page labeled "Village Voice Lauds Book."

 

July 6, 2008 - Photo of Michelle Ballard Chapman and author visiting the grave of Florence Ballard on what would have been Flo's 65th birthday, June 30, 2008, is added to the site on a page labeled "Flo Daughter at Flo Grave".

 

June 28, 2008 - Change in author's Detroit Tour plans and schedule added to site on page labeled "Author's Detroit Schedule."  (A third reading added.)

-April 12, 2008 - Audio of Lloyd Jackson of News/Talk 760 WJR interviewing Lost Supreme Author Peter Benjaminson on Jackson's popular radio show, "The Big Story," on April 9, 2008 is added to a separate page on the site labeled "WJR Author Interview."

 

-April 10, 2008 - Audio of McClatchy Interactive Reviewer Karla Mass reading a description of the historic meeting between the Beatles and the Supremes from The Lost Supreme, plus her entire review of the book from her weekly blog entitled "The Week's Most Talked-About Book" is added to the site on the page labeled "Audio of Beatles/Supremes."

 

-March 31, 2008 - Publishers Weekly calls The Lost Supreme "...a superlative biography..." in the article "Music as Memoir:  Life Stories with a Backbeat," by Mark Rotella.
