TEXAS CONGRESSWOMAN SAYS FLO DIED OF DRUG OVERDOSE; FLO'S AUTOPSY PROVES HER WRONG
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) of that state's 18th District, which includes Houston, said on a recent Tom Joyner Morning Show that Flo Ballard died of a drug overdose. This is not true. According to the autopsy of Flo performed by Wayne County Assistant Medical Examiner Dr. James Mullaney, there were no drugs in Flo's system except a small amount of Seniquan, an antidepressant. (See P. 168 of The Lost Supreme: The Life of Dreamgirl Florence Ballard, Lawrence Hill Books, 2008.) This web site, knowing that Congresswoman Lee would be shocked if she knew her statement was in error, asks her to correct the record with a new and accurate statement as soon as possible.
