Readers Praise The Lost Supreme:
Peter, I cannot tell you enough how much I just love, love, love this book. You really brought Flo back to life with this book. I love it so much and I hope many, many people will acquire their own copy to treasure, just as I continue to treasure it again and again. Thank you! - Derrick
Peter, I got your book two weeks ago and I was pleasantly pleased, the wealth of information
in this book ranks this book as the best book I have ever read on the ups and down of Flo Ballard. I know Mary's book started the ball rolling but this book hits a home run. Congratulations on a book very well done. Your reviews are coming in and forget about the two misprints, they don't amount to anything compared to what you have revealed here...
Also I have a blind friend who wants to read the book. Is there a way for him to read it by braille or computer??? I tried to go back on amazon.com to add a new review but couldn't. Again congratulations on a great book. I know Supremes fans of Flo will be pleased. -Frances Baugh.
I thank you for writing this book that reveals the true side of Flo, her struggles with the Supremes, and her own personal struggles. Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Job well done and keep up the great work:)
I recently finished reading The Lost Supreme and I have always had an interest in the history of Motown. Reading the book was a joy and somewhat emotional to see one person go through what Florence had to endure. After reading it, I felt like I knew her myself. A great book from start to finish.
I love the book very much. It made me fall even more in love with Flo. I wish she were still with us. You really did her the justice she has been needing for decades. What an amazing lady! -Derrick
I just received and read my copy. I think the book was excellent in that we finally have Flo's perspective. There were a few photos I hadn't seen before including some candid shots. It was also interesting to see that Mary let Flo stay in her house in Detroit with her mom for awhile. I was glad to hear that Flo began to study the Bible and find some peace in her life close to the end. It was also interesting to hear who was Flo's attacker and also how Tommy Chapman really died. I really felt after reading the book that I knew Flo a lot better and had a good perspective on how she felt about things...
I read the Sunday paper about the book. I was 15 when she died. I play the Supremes all day... My mother had all their albums and played one after the other. I'm going to buy the book because I want to know more about the story...
